BUT honest talk: I no longer make money. It was all the deals - Amazon and other affiliate links - that made this site sustainable.
More honesty: I thought about not blogging anymore, once again. (I thought it last year too, before deciding to make the transition, and many more times over the 15 years since I first started CFO - yes, the site is that old!)
And as I was thinking about it, I thought about the kind emails and comments I get, and how I get to help people that I may never meet in person. Especially because I still enjoy doing it.
However, I can't justify paying hosting costs and other related expenses, so I'm moving the site back to Blogger. I'll keep paying for the domain, so you can still go to ChiefFamilyOfficer.com. But the site will look different, because I don't have the skills to make a free template look like the one I have now.
And the truth about making money online: It's HARD! I have mad respect for the bloggers who make it happen, like Crystal at Money Saving Mom and Nagi at RecipeTin Eats. They work crazy hard and constantly put out new content to generate their fulltime+ incomes.
But that's not me, for many reasons. I've never made a full-time income online, and I'm making way less now.
The good news is, I'll be sticking around, but I'm only going to be posting once a week (probably on Tuesdays). The newsletter will continue going out weekly (probably on Thursdays). I'm hoping to be more active on social media, too. Finally, please bear with me because there might be some hiccups with the transition to the new (old) platform (it hasn't exactly been going smoothly thus far).
