I'll start with a recap of some new recipes from last week:
The Brownie Spider Web Cake was another huge hit with my kids! However, the Carrot Loaf Cake was not a hit with anyone, including myself, my kids, and the folks at the small party I brought the slices to - I'm not sure what everyone else thought the problem was, but I just wasn't into the strong olive oil flavor {and I love olive oil, so go figure}. The new chocolate chip cookie recipe I tried was fine but not terrific and the younger boy doesn't like them at all, so next time I'll be back to my favorite chocolate chip cookies.
I never got to a few of the recipes I intended to make last week, so they'll be back in rotation this week. Here's what I've got planned for dinners:
Monday - Japanese-style Salmon Croquettes, some kind of veggie
Tuesday - Mummy Dogs, crudite with homemade ranch dip
Wednesday - Beef Pot Pie {using leftover frozen beef}
Thursday – Roast Beef Hash {using the rest of the leftover frozen beef} with Fried Eggs, Roasted Butternut Squash
Friday - Dinner out {I think we're going to a Halloween party}
Saturday - Baked Tacos with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and avocado
Sunday - Dinner out {not sure what we're going to do yet, but I'm not cooking!}
