What I did today: Yomiuri Giants vs. Chunichi Dragons

What do you do when you visit a foreign country with two 10-year-old baseball players?

Take them to a baseball game, of course! So we went to an afternoon game, between the Yomiuri Giants and the Chunichi Dragons at the Tokyo Dome. I took the photo above using the panoramic option on my iPhone - so cool! Without the "PANO" setting, this was the best I could do:

It was a 2 p.m. game time, so we had lunch at the stadium. We were able to get the kids chicken nuggets, but I opted for a real bento:

To be honest, it wasn't all that good but it was still preferable to the other options I saw around me. (It turns out there were more selections on a different level, but I didn't know that at the time.)

The highlight of the game, besides the two homeruns we saw, was this mascot race between a baseball, a glove, a bat and a hat:

In case you were wondering, my son's pick, the baseball glove, won!

More tomorrow (I hope!) ...
