Menu Plan Monday: Week of December 17, 2012

The kids are now out of school on holiday break, and life is a lot more unpredictable, so I really don't feel like planning a menu. However, as I've mentioned before, even if I don't follow my menu plan, I do tend to make dinner at home when I have a plan for the week. So in the interest of saving money and eating healthier, I'm making this menu plan anyway:

Monday - Clam Chowder (didn't get to this last week), Bread, Fruit

Tuesday - Sweet Potato Latkes, Sausage, Fruit (I realize it's no longer Hanukkah, but I didn't get to these either last week, and I have a bag of sweet potatoes waiting to be used)

Wednesday - Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu, Biscuits, Sauteed Brussels Sprouts

Thursday - Miso Chicken, Rice, some kind of vegetable (didn’t get to this last week either, but I really did cook last week!)

Friday - Alton Brown's Sardine Avocado Sandwich, Fruit

Saturday - Dinner out

Sunday - Dinner out

Have you made the chicken cordon blue before? I have looked at that same recipe from the same website before but never made it. It sounds good.

No, I've never made it before. Keeping my fingers crossed that my husband and kids will like it!
