Official Ralphs Coupon Policy

A huge thanks to Pete for letting me know that Ralphs now has an official coupon policy online. As with any store's coupon policy, you may want to print it and keep it on hand when you are shopping in case you run into a cashier or manager who doesn't want to accept coupons that you are using in accordance with the policy. However, it may not get you very far in some situations since the policy expressly gives store managers "the right to accept, decline or limit the quantity of coupons or items used or purchased."

Here's a portion that's worth highlighting:
Internet Coupon restrictions / PAH Coupons:

  • "Free Item" internet coupons can be accept if all purchase criteria are met

  • Only one internet coupon per item will be accepted

  • Only two internet coupons per manufacturer per Customer, per day

  • Internet coupons that display the following characteristics will not be accepted:

    • Blurry

    • Out of proportion

    • Do not scan properly

    • Appear to be altered in any way

There's good news and bad news in that section: The good news is that Ralphs should now accept printables for a free product - so, for instance, you could use the Red Plum printable coupon for a free Good ‘n Natural Bar that was available earlier this month at Ralphs. Unfortunately, the bad news is the part about a limit of two printables per manufacturer. That's a strange, new limitation that I don't think I've ever seen before at any store.

Finally, I like that there's a section on pharmacy coupons that explicitly states competitor RX coupons will be accepted. You can save up to $300 each year using these coupons!

Update 8/12/2012: I just checked the coupon policy and it has been updated to expressly exclude the acceptance of printable free product coupons. :(
