Ralphs is the Kroger affiliate here in California. A few years ago – after being unable to find anyone else doing it – I began listing coupon match ups and the best deals at Ralphs each week. Ralphs sales run Wednesday through Tuesday, so new weekly match ups usually come out on Wednesday around noon Pacific time.
You can find the current deals here.
Ralphs Coupon Policy
Ralphs does not list their coupon policy online or in their weekly ad, but they will send it to you if you contact them.
In general, Ralphs doubles coupons up to $1 (one like coupon per transaction). That means coupons for $0.50 or less will be doubled in value, but coupons for $0.51 through $0.99 off will only “double” to the price of the item or $1, whichever is less. For example, a coupon for $0.40 off will be doubled to $0.80 off. But a coupon for $0.75 off will only “double” to $1 off.
Shopping at Ralphs
You’ll need a Ralphs Rewards card to get the best deals at Ralphs. If you give Ralphs an email address associated with your Ralphs card, they may send you emails with e-coupons that are exclusive to your card. If you give them your snail mail address, they may send coupon mailers to you.
You can load electronic coupons to your Ralphs Rewards card at these sites: Cellfire.com, SavingStar, Softcoin, Shortcuts.com and Upromise. Electronic coupons generally cannot be stacked with paper coupons at Ralphs.
I have gotten many questions about which specific stores double coupons. The best place to ask about specific stores is the Slickdeals SoCal Grocery thread. I also recommend emailing Ralphs and asking for their official coupon policy – it should state that they double one like coupon per transaction, and you can show it to the manager at any store you shop at and ask them to honor the corporate policy.
If you bring reuseable bags, Ralphs will give you 5 Rewards points for each bag used (though you may need to remind the cashier). Some stores may double multiple like coupons per transaction, but this will reportedly stop within the next few weeks as stores’ computers are updated.
