Good Cheap Eats has given me much food for thought, as I am now contemplating a monthly menu plan instead of just a weekly one. To start, I'll have to come up with a list of meals to draw from, which I think would be a good exercise for me anyway. And even if I don't plan the whole month, having a half-done menu each week would make life easier.
In the meantime, here's what I've got on tap for this week:
Monday - Spinach Kale Turnovers (using homemade dough instead of store-bought), Apple Crumble
Tuesday - Mac & Cheese, Sauteed Green Beans {I didn't get to this last week}
Wednesday - Beef Hash, some kind of vegetable
Thursday - Breakfast (Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs), fruit
Friday - Chicken Karaage, Rice, some kind of vegetable
Saturday - Dinner out {I think}
Sunday - Dinner out

I just did my second monthly menu plan ever! I think what helped is having a pantry and freezer stuffed full. When I'm on bare bones, it's hard to plan an entire month. But I'm getting weary of planning a menu every single week. Hopefully a monthly plan works!
I actually don't have a ton of food on hand, but I'm thinking it will be easier to plan a month in advance than a week. I'm still trepidatious, but figure I'll just plan the rest of the month and see what happens!
