A tip over at Parent Hacks suggested keeping cinnamon sugar in an empty salt shaker for speedy cinnamon toast. I thought it was a funny tip, because I do what my parents did when I was growing up: I take a jar of cinnamon that's half empty, add sugar to it, and shake it up a bit to combine the cinnamon and sugar. I always have two jars of cinnamon in my spice cabinet – one that's just cinnamon and another that's cinnamon sugar.
If you do the same, I would recommend labeling the one that's cinnamon sugar – I can always tell the difference because of the sugar crystals, but my darling husband who doesn't cook thinks they look exactly the same.

Yup, that's the deal in our house too. I like to use the C&H baker's sugar, since the crystals are smaller and mix better with the cinnamon.
My mom used to slice the cinnamon toast into strips which she'd serve with hot cocoa. We'd dip the strips in the cocoa---yum!
That is a really good tip!
I love cinnamon too.
I have a post on natural, quick food over at my blog if you're interested :)
Great idea!! I just love cinnamon toast for breakfast.
We do the same thing in our home... with the 2 containers- one just plain cinnamon and the other a mixture of cinnamon/sugar. I just this last week used my handy-dandy labeler to make a label because I had overnight guests who were trying to help me cook and she didn't know what was what in my cupboard so I realized I better label it!!
So simple and yet---I never thought of it. Thanks for the tip.
You know what's funny is that I just realized labeling the jar saves me a couple of seconds in the kitchen too! :)
