After I wrote about the evening Tyler and I spent at urgent care last week, reader Regan kindly sent me an email to let me know that there's an excellent new urgent care in Playa Vista. I don't live in Playa Vista, but I was glad to know about the urgent care in case I happen to be out that way.And that got me thinking: before traveling, I should find out what emergency services are available - especially pediatric services - and program their phone number(s) into my cell phone.
I'll definitely be doing this from now on.

That is a really good idea. I hadn't ever thought about what would happen in an emergency if we were traveling. Great tip.
