One of the best things about making your own baby food is preparing foods that don't come in jars (like red bell pepper) and coming up with combinations you can't buy at the store. The following food combinations are from
Annabel Karmel's book,
The Healthy Baby Meal Planner:- avocado & banana
- zucchini & sweet potato
- red bell pepper & cauliflower or potato
- peach & banana
- butternut squash & pear

prunes and pumpkins were always a hit with my son.
my daughter likes nectarines and avocado. she is odd.
Now that we are getting into fall, I am definitely going to try prunes and pumpkins. And I don't think your daughter sounds odd - she sounds adventurous! (and possibly a foodie in the making)
This sounds like a great idea. My wife is due this December and I am sure making my own baby food can save quite a few dollars.
@Pinyo - Making baby food is super easy, just a little time-consuming. But it's really fun too :)
