When paying bills online, instead of printing out the confirmation page, take a screenshot of it. You'll save the cost of paper and toner, and you'll save the environment at the same time (and save yourself from having to shred the paper later on).
I discovered this tip by necessity because my computer isn't hooked up to a printer (I use Marc's computer when I need to print) and it's always bothered me that I haven't been printing all of the confirmation pages (not that it's been a problem, but I'm compulsive that way).
Get Screengrab for Firefox here. (Note: I couldn't find a free version for Explorer.)
P.S. If you're not paying your bills online yet, what are you waiting for? It saves time and money and is super easy to do!

I was afraid of paying bills online for quite a long time but once I have tried, and have to say it was really super easy to do! I can also save my time.
I know what you mean! I was nervous about it too but I've been banking online for about 2 years now and I wouldn't want to do it any other way. It's so easy not having to write checks and stuff.
Here's another tip, by the way: If you bank online, you'll use up the registers a lot faster than the checkbooks since you write so few checks. Your bank will give you extra checkbook registers if you ask.
How can you pay for anything online? You will have to reveal your personal information! That's not a good thing to do with all that identity theft things around.
Oh, so smart! I just printed a bunch of "confirmation pages" from paying car registration, online orders, etc. I could have done that. Great tip!
I use bullzip pdf printer http://www.bullzip.com/ to make copies of online receipts, registrations etc. It's free and it creates a pdf of any screen. I can save these to a folder on my hard drive and print them out only if I need to.

While Internet Explorer is the current window, just click Alt+PrintScreen, then open Wordpad and do Edit/Paste. Then save the file.
