When I took my daughter to the ER for stitches, they couldn't anesthetize her because I gave her a banana to tide her over.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13259011.post-61120449948215987662007-12-13T21:10:00.000-08:002007-12-13T21:10:00.000-08:00Ugh...that sounds like such a tiresome experience....Ugh...that sounds like such a tiresome experience. It's one of those things I don't look forward to, but my pediatrician keeps reminding me of...there will be emergencies, just keep your head on straight and everything will be fine.

Thanks for the tips. And I'm glad to hear both boys are better.MetaMommyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04215017798814280039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13259011.post-51342483824533570512007-12-13T08:31:00.000-08:002007-12-13T08:31:00.000-08:00Ouch! Sorry to hear that, Cathy. But glad he didn'...Ouch! Sorry to hear that, Cathy. But glad he didn't need stitches at all. We've been there a few times (not the stitches part, the emergency part). There's a actually a great place like that near us that was opened up by some pediatricians and it's open from like 5 to midnight during the week and daily on the weekends. It's great if you think your kid has an ear infection and it's late Friday night, so you don't have to let him suffer all weekend...

And yes you learned a few lessons, but don't kick yourself too hard. In an emergency situation, getting help is the #1 priority.Andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13059123441751200723noreply@blogger.com
