Did you know Amazon has a 30-day price drop guarantee? A few days ago, I bought this Go Diego Go tricyclefor $14.99. It's regularly priced at $24.99. I decided to track the price using the Firefox add-on PriceDrop, and to my surprise, when I turned on my computer this morning, there was a message in the bottom right corner alerting me that the price on an item I was tracking had dropped. I clicked on the message and was taken to my PriceDrop page, where I saw that the price of the tricycle had dropped to $12.50.
Using the handy step-by-step guide posted at Raising 4 Boys, I requested a refund for the difference. By the time I got home from work, I had a message from Amazon saying that my account had been credited. That's $2.49 back, and it took less than 5 minutes to get it. I'm going to track the price of everything I buy at Amazon!
Note: J.D. recently posted at Get Rich Slowly about an application called Price Protectr, which can be used with any online store. Check out J.D.'s post for more info.
