I’ve been a member of the rewards site Swagbucks for over eight years now – in internet terms, I think that equates to centuries! An updated review is long overdue, so here goes:
What’s changed at Swagbucks:
— You no longer earn “Swag Bucks”; instead you earn “points called SB.”
— There are many new ways to earn SB.
— There are over 10 million members – Swagbucks is huge!
What I still love about Swagbucks:
— They give away FREE money in the form of gift cards.
— You can earn FREE money every day.
— They offer lots of different gift cards as rewards. My favorites are Amazon and Starbucks, but you can choose from almost any store you can think of, plus PayPal.
— There are lots of different ways to earn SB.
As you might imagine, over the years, I’ve watched Swagbucks change and evolve and grow, but one thing that hasn’t changed is that they really are a way to make FREE money online. As an 8+ year member, I’ve earned several thousand dollars through Swagbucks, all without spending a dime that I wouldn’t have spent anyway. (They have a shopping portal that lets you earn cash back so sometimes I do spend money with them – but only money that I would have spent regardless!)
Swagbucks started out as a search engine, and I still use them as my primary search engine. (You can go here and click the “Learn More” link to find out how to make Swagbucks your default search engine. That way you don’t have to remember to do anything special.) I usually score a search win once or twice a day, which gets me anywhere from 6 to 50 SB.
In just a few minutes each day, you can earn a quick 7+ SB just by checking off the items in the daily To Do List that’s located in the left sidebar of the homepage:
I also play the free games (at the bottom of this page) to earn 10 SB per day.
Finally, there’s usually a Swag Code that’s good for at least 2 SB every day – just enter the code at the top of any page at Swagbucks.com where you see this icon:
That all works out to a minimum of 25 SB per day, which adds up to 750 SB every month. That’s enough for a $15 Amazon gift card every two months, or a completely FREE $90 per year.
And as they say in the infomercials: But wait, there’s more!
The “more” in this case is many more opportunities to earn FREE money. You can take surveys to rack up lots of SB if you complete them. (Plus you get up to 1 SB per disqualification, up to 5 SB per day.) You can watch videos while you’re doing things around the house to earn free SB. There are also lots of offers that require a little more effort, such as free trial offers, free memberships, etc.
I wouldn’t recommend Swagbucks as a major income source, but I wholeheartedly recommend it as a way to bring in some totally free money.
And if you’re new to Swagbucks, right now is a great time to join! They’re offering new members 300 SB when you join now and earn 300 SB before January 1, 2017, PLUS a 200 SB bonus when you spend $25 through Swagbucks Shop, on top of the cashback you receive for your purchase.
AND (wait, there’s more!), as a Swagbucks member, if you refer someone who joins and earns 300 SB before January 1, you also get a 300 SB bonus, and if they spend $25 through Swagbucks Shop for the 200 SB bonus, you get that bonus too! You also get 10% of all the SB they earn for life, so theoretically, if your friends are active Swaggernauts, you’ll rack up SB without doing anything.
If the best thing about Swagbucks is that you make totally FREE money, then the second-best thing is that you can do it when you have a few minutes here and there, while you’re doing something else (like waiting in line, using their handy mobile apps), and whenever you want.
As always, thank you if you join(ed) Swagbucks using my referral link!
