Review & Giveaway: Jooners Online Sign Up Sheet (5 Winners)

Jooners logoJooners is an online signup sheet designed to streamline social event planning, and they recently provided me an opportunity to review their system. I received a premium membership and courtesy swag but the opinions in this review are 100% mine.

    The verdict: Jooners is great!

If you have to create online sign up sheets, Jooners works the way you would want an online sign up sheet to work.

    Jooners set up

You just tell it what kind of sign up sheet you want to create, fill out the form fields, and let Jooners do the rest. It’s easy to spread the word about the form, too, so you can get the link to the people who need to know about it.

The best part is that basic membership in Jooners is totally FREE! You can send auto-reminders to your volunteers, use established templates or create your own custom fields, and edit sign up sheets at any time.

Jooners also offers a premium membership, which costs $49.95, will get you some additional, very useful features:

I especially like the options to be notified when someone signs up, create private sign up sheets, and of course, unlimited sign up sheets. If you are a PTA member who organizes events, a room parent who plans class parties, a nonprofit committee chair who coordinates fundraisers, or anyone who needs to keep track of who’s doing what when, Jooners can make your life a lot easier.

    WIN IT!

Jooners wants to give five lucky CFO readers a premium Jooners membership ($49.95 value). To enter, simply follow the directions in the Rafflecopter widget below:

Review & Giveaway: $25 Visa Gift Card from C&H Light

C&H LogoC&H Sugar has always been a part of my life, because it’s the brand my mom used in all of her baking when I was growing up. So I jumped at the chance to participate in a review and giveaway campaign for C&H Light, which is an “all natural pure cane sugar & stevia blend with half the calories of sugar.”

I’m not big on artificial anything but a natural no-calorie sweetener is right up my alley. According to Wikipedia and some other sources I found in a Swagbucks search, there are some potential health concerns with stevia, though the type you see in sweeteners has been approved by the FDA for consumption. My personal conclusion is that I won’t use it in huge amounts, but it certainly has its place in my home, especially when I’m baking for anyone watching their sugar intake.

The truly wonderful thing about C&H Light is that it substitutes one-for-one for sugar and tastes the same as sugar. I did a simple taste test by baking two butter cakes (recipe forthcoming) and tasting them side by side:

    Butter Cake

I have to admit that I kind of lost track of which cake was which during the baking process. I think the cake on the right is the one made with C&H Light. It hardly matters, however, because the cakes looked and tasted virtually identical. In a blind taste test, I don’t think you could tell which was which.

    WIN IT!

Rite Aid Photo Deals + Photo Calendar Giveaway

    Rite Aid Photo Calendar Giveaway

Rite Aid’s Online Photo Department is very similar to other online photo programs you may have used – you can order prints, cards, canvases, and other personalized photo products. But what makes Rite Aid’s Online Photo Department extra special is that you can have all of your orders shipped to your local store for FREE!

Earlier this year, I was able to get an 8×10 photo canvas for about $10 total after coupon code – I just had to pick it up at the store, and it made an inexpensive gift for a relative. My only complaint about ordering online is that Rite Aid’s system isn’t reliable about sending a notification email when your item is ready. But you can check the status of your order online to see if it is ready for pick up.

For the holidays, Rite Aid has “Holiday Photo Mega Deals” that make their fast and easy products even more affordable. Use the following coupon codes during the applicable dates for great deals:

    • 16×20 canvas for only $24.99 – promo code: NOVCNVS (11/25-12/1)
    • 20 5×7 cards for $10.00 – promo code: 5x7CRDS (12/2-12/15)
    • 100 prints for $9.99 – promo code: PRNT100 (12/23 – 1/5)
    • BOGO Calendar – promo code: CALBOGO (1/6 – 1/12)
    • BOGO 11oz white mug – promo code: MUGBOGO (1/13 – 1/19)

To take advantage of these special deals simply enter the promo code at checkout.
