  • Morning Coffee: Lots of Mamapedia deals

    FacebookTwitterPinterest

Daily deal site Mamapedia is offering a custom digital photo alarm clock kids for $64 ($89 value). That’s a little pricy, but if my kids were younger I would seriously consider buying this because it basically tells kids who can’t tell time that they can’t leave their room until the photo changes – perfect for kids who get out of bed too early! It also plays music, so you can probably set it to play a white noise track throughout the night too. Thank you if you join(ed) Mamapedia using my referral link!

Mamapedia is also offering a $30 Red Envelope voucher for just $15.

And for locals, Mamapedia is offering a 10-visit pass to Naya’s Garden in Silver Lake for just $32 ($65 value). I took the kids to a birthday party there a couple of years ago and it was a great indoor play area. I’m a big fan of passes to places like this for younger kids because it’s relatively safe, they get to be really active, and they’re especially perfect for rainy or super hot days.

If you have the $10 sign up credit at No More Rack, you can get a jar of Origins Youthtopia Skin Firming Cream for $16 shipped ($24 – $10 credit + $2 shipping). Thank you if you join(ed) NMR using my referral link!

    Morning Coffee: Remembering 9/11

    FacebookTwitterPinterest

Bloggers much more eloquent than I am will talk about the significance of 9/11, so I’ll just say that I will always remember how I felt that morning as I watched CNN. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who are still deeply affected by the events of that day, through the loss of a loved one, illness developed after exposure at the site, military service in the Middle East, and such. Thank you for your sacrifices.

Things like coupons pale in comparison to the events of 9/11, but the amazing thing about our country is that we are survivors and we do move on. The best thing we can say about 9/11 is that as tragic as it was, and as vigilant as we have had to be ever since, it hasn’t really changed the way we live, the way the terrorists hoped it would. In fact, with 9/11 being a Sunday this year, there are all sorts of new deals and coupons:

There are a bunch of new coupons at RedPlum, including $0.75/1 Aquafresh premium toothpaste, $0.50/1 Mahatma rice, $0.50/1 Starkist Autentico, and multiple Maybelline and L’Oreal coupons.

Get a printable coupon for 30% off any one item at Old Navy via Simple Deals (expires 9/22 so you have quite a bit of time to use the coupon).

Her Savings explains how you can become a Speak to Silk Panel member with the chance to win 18 coupons for one free half-gallon of Silk.

Get a free Kindle download of Teen-Proofing: A Revolutionary Approach to Fostering Responsible Decision Making in Your Teenager ($14.99 value; 4.5 out of 5 stars in 33 reviews).

This month’s Barnes & Noble Online Story Time book is Llama Llama Home With Mama, read by the author Anna Dewdney.

Use the printable Target manu coupon for $1/2 Skittles to get two single-serve bags for free at Walgreens this week (where they’re on sale for 2/$1 with in-ad coupon).

Get a free sample of Kleenex Cool Touch tissue via Target. FYI, after the final submit, the page froze for me, but when I tried to enter my info again, it said that I’d already requested a sample.

As I (re)tweeted yesterday, the scanner at CVS should be printing a coupon for a free box of Ritz Crackerfuls.

Get a printable coupon for $1/2 Pillsbury Grands Biscuits – this is a much higher value than we usually see for this product. (Via Printable Coupons and Deals.)

Get a printable coupon for a free cheese quesadilla at Denny’s (no purchase required, expires 11/7 – lots of time to use it). (Via My Good Cents.)
