    Best Deals of the Week

I’ve compiled best deals available at the drugstores, Target, Ralphs/Kroger, and other stores. I stick to deals that don’t require too many or any obscure coupons, and I try to pick practical items that most people buy at some point.

Use this list to decide which stores to hit this week, based on what you need. You might even use it to decide you can skip shopping for a week, because you don’t need what’s on sale. Please note this post contains affiliate links that help support this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you for using them! You can read CFO’s full disclosure here.

    1. Moneymaker Gift Cards at Rite Aid

I absolutely LOVE paying less than face value for gift cards (if they’re for stores I’d shop at anyway, of course). Holiday season is a great time to pick up discounted gift cards, and Rite Aid has a nice deal this week:

Dining Gift Cards: Buy a $25 Gift Card, Get $6 +UP Reward
    Limit 2
    – Applebee’s
    – IHOP

Shopping Gift Cards: Buy a $50 Gift Card, Get $10 +UP Reward
    Limit 2
    – Sears
    – Bass Pro
    – Hollister
    – Aeropostale
    – American Eagle Outfitters
Note: Sears and Bass Pro are listed separately from the Hollister, Aeropostale and AE gift cards in my ad. Therefore, they *might* be separate offers and you might be able to get 2 $10 +UP rewards from each group, for a total of 4 rewards. The best way to tell would be to buy one gift card from each group, and see if they are tracked together or separately on your receipt.

    Ends 11/16.

    2. Free Chocolate Bars at Rite Aid

    BUY: 2 Lindt Chocolate Bars @ 2/$4.00
USE: 2 x $2/1 Lindt Product printable or Facebook printable
    Pay: $0
    Net Price: 2 FREE

Learn more about Lindt’s chocolate sourcing and why it matters.

    Ends 11/16.

    1. Better-than-Free Toothpaste at Walgreens

Hopefully you printed that $0.75/1 Colgate coupon last week when I told you about this deal, because it’s always nice to make some money on something everybody uses! But even if you don’t have the printable, you can still get free toothpaste:

    BUY: 1 Colgate Total Toothpaste @ $3.00
USE: $0.75/1 Colgate Toothpaste printable {or $0.50/1 Colgate toothpaste from 10/27 SS
    Pay: $2.25 or $2.50
    Receive: $2.50 Register Reward
Net Price: FREE to $0.25 moneymaker

    Ends 11/2.

    2. Cheap Tide at CVS

If you prefer Tide detergent, you probably know that it’s hard to get as cheap as other brands. But you can get a good deal on Tide at CVS this week:

    BUY: 1 Tide Liquid @ $5.94
    USE: $2/1 Tide Detergent from 9/29 P&G (exp 10/31) or 10/27 P&G
    Pay: $3.94
    Receive: $1 ECB
    Net Price: $2.94

That’s less than $1 more than my stock up price of $2 for detergent (I usually opt for All Free & Clear for $1.99 or less). Less than $3 is a great price for a bottle of Tide.

    Ends 11/2.

    3. 17% off iTunes or App Store Gift Card at CVS

I prefer to get at least 20% off iTunes gift cards, but 17% is pretty good if you need one!

BUY: 1 iTunes or App Store Cards @ $30.00
    Pay: $30
    Receive: $5 ECB
    Net Price: $25

    Ends 11/2.
