  • Review & Giveaway: Daphne’s California Greek

    Daphne's logo

A few years ago, a friend raved about Daphne’s California Greek, but I dismissed it as a place my kids would never eat. However, when I was invited to try their new summer menu item, the Mini-Pita Trio, I said yes. After all, I’m not one to pass up the chance to try new foods for free!

I received a gift card and took my family to the nearest Daphne’s location (they have 10 locations within about 45 minutes of my house). There’s a Kid’s Menu, and both of mine opted for grilled cheese. My husband ordered the pitas, and I tried the Vegetarian Plate (along with sampling the pitas … for review purposes, of course!).

We were all thrilled! The flavors are fresh and light, and everything was well-seasoned. My older son adventurously tasted the gyro pita and loved it enough that he will order it next time. And there will be a next time, as Daphne’s has made it onto our list of regular places to eat.

    WIN IT!

    1. Your post is timely! I love Daphne’s but would never have thought to take my kids there. However, the kids received free meal coupons from the Library Reading Program, so we headed over there. My son dived right into the Gyro Pita’s and my Daughter loved the chicken tenders (which are not battered and fried) I loved it because I got my favorite salad and the kids were fed!

I’m going to have my younger son try the chicken next time. It’s exciting to have a new place to eat with them, LOL :D
