  • Top Ten Best Deals This Week: 5/6/2013

    Best Deals of the Week

I’ve compiled best deals available at the drugstores, Target, Ralphs/Kroger, and other stores. I stick to deals that don’t require too many or any obscure coupons, and I try to pick practical items that most people buy at some point.

Use this list to decide which stores to hit this week, based on what you need. You might even use it to decide you can skip shopping for a week, because you don’t need what’s on sale. Please note this post contains affiliate links (marked with {*}) that help support this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you for using them! You can read CFO’s full disclosure here.

    1. Free Gerber Baby Food at Rite Aid

Free baby food is rare, but there are some Gerber coupons at Coupon Network, and one of them will get you free baby food at Rite Aid:

    Buy: 8 x Gerber 1st Foods Baby Food @ $1.59 each
Use: $0.85/6 Gerber 1st Baby Food*
    Pay: $11.87
    Receive: 4 x $3 +UP Reward
    Net Price: $0.13 moneymaker

Other Gerber items also qualify for the Buy 2, Get $3 +UP Reward offer (limit 4), so if you don’t need 1st Foods Baby Food, be sure to print the other coupons and take them with you to the store:
$1.20/8 Gerber 2nd Foods Baby Food*
$0.75/8 Gerber 3rd Foods Baby Food*
$0.99/6 Gerber 2nd Foods Organic Pouches*

    Ends 5/11.

    2. Free Nursery Water at Rite Aid

Free bottled water is really rare, and unless you need to avoid fluoridated water for some reason, you can treat Nursery Water just like you would any other bottled water. Here’s how to get it for free at Rite Aid this week:

    Buy: 2 x Nursery Water @ $1.29 each
    Use: $0.55/2 Nursery printable
    Pay: $2.03 + CRV
    Receive: $3 +UP Reward
    Net Price: $0.97 moneymaker

Note that this deal is part of the same +UP Reward offer as the Gerber deal above, with a limit of 4 x $3 +UP Rewards. If you’d like to get both the 1st Foods and Nursery Water, you can buy 6 1st Foods and 2 Nursery Waters for a net $1.28 moneymaker.

    Ends 5/11.

    Via For the Mommas.

    3. $20 off Kindle Fire HD

Through Sunday (5/12), Amazon* is offering $20 off the Kindle Fire HD with code FIRE4MOM. That means you can get one for as low as $179!

    4. Free or Cheap Bounce Dryer Sheets at Target

You have one more week to get free or cheap Bounce Dryer Sheets at Target if you have the Target coupons that came out last month:

    Buy: 3 Bounce Dryer Sheets 34-ct @ $1.97 – $2.19 {regular price}
Use: $3/3 Tide, Downey or Bounce products from 4/28 P&G
Stack with: $3/3 Tide, Downey or Bounce product Target coupon from 4/14 Smart Source (exp 5/11)
    Pay: $0 – $0.57
    Net Price: $0 – $0.19 each

Even at $0.19, that works out to 1/2 cent per sheet, which is a great deal since a more typical sale price is 2+ cents per sheet.

    Ends 5/11.

    5. Free Bengay at Target

While you’re at Target, you can pick up better-than-free Bengay:

    Buy: 2 x Bengay Ultra Strength Cream 2-oz @ $4.89 each
    Use: $3/1 Bengay Pain Relief Product from 5/5 Smart Source {limit 1 per person}
    And use: $2/1 Bengay Product printable {limit 1 per person}
    Pay: $4.78
    Receive: $5 Target Gift Card
    Net Price: $0.22 moneymaker

    6. 5 Free Reams of Paper at Staples

    7. Free Breathe Right Strips at Walgreens

There are several free-after-Register-Rewards items at Walgreens this week, but this one’s a moneymaker:

    Buy: 1 Breathe Right Strips 10-ct @ $4
Use: $1/1 Breathe Right Nasal Strips 10-ct+*, from 3/10 Red Plum or printable
    Pay: $3
    Receive: $4 RR
    Net Price: $1 moneymaker

    Ends 5/11.

    8. 20% off GAP or iTunes Gift Card at CVS

It’s always nice to get a discount on a gift card, so I love this week’s deal at CVS: Buy 1 $50 iTunes or GAP gift card, and get a $10 ECB. Unfortunately, this deal has a limit of one so you have to choose which you’d rather have. (I recommend the GAP gift card if you’ll use it, because it’s easier to find 20%+ discounts on iTunes cards.)

    Ends 5/11.

    9. Cheap Coppertone at CVS

Here in Southern California, sunscreen all year round is a must, so I stock up during the summer sales. However, I always get nervous in the spring, when my supply dwindles and sunscreen sales haven’t really kicked in yet. So I’m happy to see this deal at CVS this week:

Buy: 1 Coppertone Product @ $8.99 (excludes sticks and twin packs)
    Use: $1/1 Coppertone Product printable
    Pay: $7.99
    Receive: $2 ECB
    Net Price: $5.99

That’s not the lowest price you’ll see during the summer (I try to hold out for $4 or less), but it’s darn good for this time of year.

    Ends 5/11.

    10. $5 MP3 Albums and $0.69 Singles at Amazon

Amazon has a new batch of 100 $5 MP3 albums. The selection includes:

    1. I love these posts! I am not a crazy couponer with a stockpile that has it’s own insurance policy! I’m just trying to save a buck everywhere I can. I’ll be hitting the sunscreen at CVS this week, because we are nearly out and since we have a pool, we supply sunscreen for most of our guests. I’ll also be hitting Target for Bounce and BenGay, and the Staples is a no brainer, I’ll just deliver that box right to the school!

Thank you! I always appreciate knowing what’s helpful, so you made my day 🙂

Great idea to donate the paper to school … I’m going to do that too!
