  • Top Ten Best Deals This Week: 3/18/2013

    Best Deals of the Week
I’ve compiled best deals available at the drugstores, Target, Ralphs/Kroger, and other stores. I stick to deals that don’t require too many or any obscure coupons, and I try to pick practical items that most people buy at some point.

Use this list to decide which stores to hit this week, based on what you need. You might even use it to decide you can skip shopping for a week, because you don’t need what’s on sale.

    1. FREE Photo Collage at Walgreens

Through Wednesday (3/20), you can get a FREE 8×10 photo collage print at Walgreens Photo when you use code COLLAGE4FREE. Select in-store pick up to avoid shipping charges and get it totally free.

Framed photo collages make great gifts for upcoming events like Teacher Appreciation Week, Mother’s Day, and coach’s gifts. Target still has a coupon for $2/1 picture frame.

    Ends 3/20.

    2. Free or Cheap Easter Egg Decorating Kits at CVS

At CVS this week, you can pay $1.99 for a PAAS Easter Egg Decorating Kit and get back a $1.99 ECB, making the kit free (limit 1). Or, you can use the $1/2 Facebook coupon to get 2 kits cheap:

Buy: 2 PAAS Easter Egg Decorating Kits @ $1.99 each
Use: $1/2 PAAS Kits Facebook printable
    Pay: $2.98
    Receive: $1.99 ECB
Net Price: $0.99 for 2 or $0.50 each

    Ends 3/23.

    3. FREE Starbucks Iced Coffee at Walgreens

Walgreens is offering free-after-Register-Rewards Starbucks this week:

    Buy: 1 Starbucks Iced Coffee @ $0.99
    Pay: $0.99
    Receive: $0.99 RR
    Net Price: FREE

Stores will probably run low or out of Starbucks quickly, so I recommend calling ahead to make sure your store has some in stock and/or not going just for this item.

    Ends 3/23.

    4. Cheap Juicy Juice at Target

This deal continues from last week. Target has Juicy Juice 8-packs on sale for Buy 2, Get 1 Free. If you still have some $1/1 coupons from the 2/10 Red Plum, you can do this deal:

    Buy: 3 x Juicy Juice 8-packs @ $2.49 each
Use: 2 x $1/1 Juicy Juice from 2/10 Red Plum
    Pay: $2.98
    Net Price: $0.99 each

    Ends 3/30.

    5. Free or Cheap Bounce Dryer Sheets at Target

This deal is also still going on at Target: If you were lucky enough to get the regional Target laundry coupons in the 3/3 Smart Source, you can pick up some free or very cheap Bounce Dryer Sheets.

    Buy: 3 Bounce Dryer Sheets 34-ct @ $1.97 – $2.19 {regular price}
Use: $3/3 Tide, Downey or Bounce products from 3/3 P&G
Stack with: $3/3 Tide, Downey or Bounce produced Target coupon from 3/3 Smart Source
    Pay: $0 – $0.57
    Net Price: $0 – $0.19 each

Since this is a regular price, you have until the coupons expire at the end of the month to pick up your items – which is good, because my store was out of stock for most of last week again!

    Ends 3/31.

    6. Cheap Paper Products at CVS

This week, CVS is offering a $10 ECB when you buy $30 of participating paper products – that’s like getting 33% off, and coupons can give you more savings. The products listed in the ad, with coupon match ups are:

Scott Choose-a-Size Mega Roll Paper Towels 6-ct $5.44 ($3.65 after ECB)
$1/1 Scott Paper Towels 6-Rolls+ 3/17 SS Insert (exp 4/27)
$2.65 after coupon and ECB or $0.44 per roll

Scott Bathroom Tissue 12-18 ct $7.22 ($4.84 after ECB)
$1/1 Scott Bath Tissue Rolls 8-pk+ 3/17 SS Insert (exp 4/27)
$3.84 after coupon and ECB or $0.21 – $0.32 per roll

    Kleenex $0.88 ($0.59 after ECB)
    $0.50/3 Kleenex 2/10 SS Insert (exp 3/23)
$0.42 each after coupon and ECB

Cottonelle Bath Tissue 18-ct $8.99 ($6.02 after ECB)
    $0.55/1 Cottonelle Bath Tissue 9-roll+
$0.50/1 Kleenex Cottonelle Bath Tissue 9-roll+ 3/17 SS Insert (exp 4/28)
As low as $5.47 after coupon and ECB or $0.30 per roll

Those are all excellent prices, and you can combine the items in a myriad of ways to get to $30, according to your coupons and your household needs, but here’s just one scenario:

    Buy:
    2 x Scott Paper Towels @ $5.44 each
    2 x Scott Bath Tissue @ $7.22 each
    6 x Kleenex @ $0.88 each

    Subtotal: $30.60

    Use:
2 x $1/1 Scott Paper Towels from 3/17 Smart Source
2 x $1/1 Scott Bath Tissue Rolls from 3/17 Smart Source
    2 x $0.50/3 Kleenex from 2/10 Smart Source

    Pay: $25.60
    Receive: $10 ECB
    Net Price: $15.60 for everything

    Ends 3/23.

    7. Cheap Coke at CVS {no coupons needed}

This deal is back again this week: Coke 12-packs are on sale for $2.97 at CVS, plus you get a $5 ECB when you spend $15. You should actually be able to buy 5 12-packs for $14.85 and still get the ECB, thanks to the informal 98% rule. So your scenario would look like this:

    Buy: 5 x Coke 12-packs @ $2.97 each
    Pay: $14.85 + CRV
    Receive: $5 ECB
Net Price: $1.97 each before CRV

    Ends 3/23.

    8. Cheap Smart Balance Butter at Gelson’s

For locals, there are some good deals at Gelson’s right now. Here’s one that stands out:

Buy: 1 Smart Balance Butter Sticks or Spreadable Butter $2.50
Use: $1/2 Smart Balance Buttery Spreads or $1/1 Smart Balance Spreadable or Blended Butter Sticks from 2/10 Smart Source
    Pay: As low as $1.50

    Ends 3/27.

    9. Gold Medal Flour for $2 at Ralphs {no coupons needed}

Starting on Wednesday, 5-lb bags of Gold Medal Flour will be on sale for $2 at Ralphs (and possibly all Kroger stores). That’s a great price, as I never saw flour go under $2 during the holiday baking sales.

    Valid 3/20-26.

    10. $76 for a $100 iTunes Gift Card at Target with RedCard

There are actually several discounted iTunes gift card deals this week, but the best one involves price matching at Target:

    Buy: $100 iTunes gift card
Price match: for $80 at Guest Services by showing them this Best Buy deal on your phone/tablet
Pay with Target RedCard to get an additional 5% off, making your cost just $76

If you don’t have a Target RedCard, 20% off (with the price match) is still a good discount for iTunes gift cards. Thanks to Totally Target for this deal!

Other iTunes gift card deals include:

Target: 15% off with the coupon from this week’s ad or this printable

Ralphs: Buy a $25 iTunes gift card, Get a Catalina coupon for $5 off your next order (valid 3/20-26)

Rite Aid: $5 off a $30 multipack with in-ad coupon
