  • Morning Coffee: Java security warning, Free bodysuit at Gymboree & More

    You may have already heard, but there is a security exploit in Java that can cause such major problems that even the U.S. government is warning us about it. I was disheartened at first, because I need Javascript to do a lot of things (including print coupons), but Gizmodo came to my rescue with instructions on how to disable the Java plugin without disabling Javascript. I do think RedPlum coupons might require actual Java in order to print, but so far I’ve been able to browse the internet normally without Java . . . {fingers crossed!}

    Coupons.com has some new coupons, including:

    Use the Hormel coupon at Ralphs to get 2 packs of lunch meat for $2.49 each through tomorrow.

    Daily deal site Zulily has some good sales today, including:

    • Hello Kitty Collection, which includes Hello Kitty shoes, accessories, girl’s and women’s clothing, and (I kid you not) dog sweaters
    • Kids’ Shoes, with prices starting at $9.99 – brands include Geox, Oshkosh, and Carter’s
    • Craft Room Storage Collection, which has some great organizing solutions – I’ve been trying to come up with a better way of organizing my desk, so the Craft & Hobby Center got my attention. I’ll have to think about whether something like that would for me.

    Daily deal site Eversave is offering two Zedora beaded charm bracelets for $25 + FREE shipping. Remember that Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are both coming up, and these would be a great gift for either occasion. New Eversave members get a $5 sign up credit when you join here, making your cost just $20 shipped!

    Get a printable coupon for a FREE bodysuit at Gymboree with $10+ purchase ($7.95 value, valid online or in stores, for 60 days). (Via Passion for Savings.)

    Frugal Upstate has a very detailed discussion about safe canning recipes. I don’t can (because I’m too chicken) but I found the discussion fascinating anyway.
