Vons and Pavilions are the Safeway grocery store affiliates out here in Southern California, and they recently updated their Gas Reward Points program to include participating Chevron and Texaco stations. I’ve actually never used their Gas Reward Points program because there’s no convenient Vons gas station, so I’m pretty happy to be able to use my points at Chevron stations (I don’t believe there are any Texaco stations in my area).
The program is pretty simple. Just shop at Vons or Pavilions with your Vons Club Card or Pavilions ValuePlus Card, and earn points as follows:
- Each $1 spent on groceries = 1 point
- Each $1 spent on qualifying gift cards = 2 points
- Each $1 spent on pharmacy items = 1 points
Get 10 cents off per gallon for every 100 points during a single fill-up at a participating Chevron or Texaco station. You can use up to 20 cents per gallon in Rewards for a single fill-up.
