  • Morning Coffee: No Double Coupons at Vons Starting Next Week

I’m disappointed but not surprised by the news that Vons/Pavilions will no longer double coupons as of next Wednesday (8/1/2012). The announcement is reportedly on the bottom of the front page of tomorrow’s ad. Since I don’t shop at Albertsons (there just isn’t one conveniently located), that leaves me with no stores that double. I’ll have more thoughts on that later today.

Amazon’s Instant Video Rental of the Day is O’ Brother, Where Art Thou? starring George Clooney for just $0.99 (4.4 stars in 731 reviews). When you rent a video from Amazon, you generally have 30 days to watch it, and 24 to 48 hours from the time you started watching it to finish it.

Here’s a report at A Full Cup explaining how to make money on Olay products next week at CVS.

Also, get a printable coupon for $1/2 Brach’s Bagged Candy via A Full Cup.

Amazon’s free Android app of the day is Seven Stars 3D II ($1.99 value), a game that gets 5 stars in 2 reviews.

Facebook likers of Expo can get a printable coupon for $1/1 Expo Markers (great for back to school sales!).

Let call Customer Service, 1-877-723-3929, and compliment them for screwing consumers from saving money. Tell them we want to pay higher prices. We want to ensure their executives and store managers bigger bonuses. We appreciate Vons/Pavilions employees for treating coupon user like trash. Also, we should send all our more affluent friends and family to Vons/Pavilions so they can abandon the middle and working classes.
