  • Evening Roundup: Ralphs will no longer double

There’s some sobering news at Slickdeals: Ralphs will no longer double coupons or offer quarterly Ralphs Rewards as of April 1, 2012. There should be more information in the new weekly ad that comes in your mail tomorrow. I’ll also have more thoughts for you on that after I see exactly what the ad says.

$0.75 off the purchase of $5 of Weight WatchersCoupons.com added some new coupons today, including $0.75 off $5+ of Weight Watchers products, $2/1 Similac SimplySmart bottle, $2/1 Dial lotion, $10 off Hot Wheels RC Stealth Rides vehicle (redeemable only at Target), and $6/1 Loopz memory game (redeemable only at Target).

Speaking of Weight Watchers, get free Kindle downloads of two Weight Watchers cookbooks: Start Your Day Right Breakfast Points Plus Recipes and Rich and Delicious Desserts Points Plus Recipes ($4.97 value for each). If you don’t have a Kindle, you can use one of the free Kindle reading apps to read Kindle material on your computer, smartphone or tablet. Note that Amazon prices can change at any moment, so you verify the price before purchasing. (Via Moms Need to Know.)

Tomorrow (3/20), Amazon Local will offer a $10 Amazon gift certificate for just $5. There’s pretty much no one who can pass up that deal, right? (Via Southern Cali Saver.)

If you haven’t used them yet, hang on to the $1/2 Mars candy coupons that came in this past weekend’s Red Plum insert – next week, you’ll be able to use them in a moneymaker deal at CVS. They’ll be on sale for 2/$1 and giving a $1 ECB, limit 2. So, use 2 coupons, pay $0, and get $2 back via ECB! (Via Living Rich with Coupons.)

    1. So where is there to coupon in San Diego? Ralph’s has been the go to, this is terrible news!

      • Chief Family Officer says:

I don’t know about San Diego, but I’ll be discussing alternatives in LA that will hopefully apply down there as well!

    2. Terrible news! Is that why we got the special coupons this week?

    3. I got a bunus savings packet this week with recipes and coupons for items I purchase frequently. Never received one like it before.

      • Chief Family Officer says:

I’ve gotten those before – I don’t think they have anything to do with the new coupon policy. Not sure if that’s good or bad . . .

Thank you for the heads up. In today’s ad, there is a whole page explaining the rewards. Basically, they are changing to fuel rewards (discounts at Ralphs Fuel Centers and participating Shells), which I won’t use. To continue receiving the quarterly rewards, you need to get their Visa card (which I won’t do). As you mentioned, double coupons ends at the end of this month. I will be doing some creative shopping this weekend so I can get doubles on several coupons.
