You’ll find a list of this week’s CVS deals here.
If you’re new to The Drugstore Game, these new starter transactions will help you get your feet wet and show you how The Drugstore Game can save you money on things you already buy. If you don’t understand the transactions, read my Drugstore Game Primer, Common Sense with Money’s FAQ (which has a handy explanation of acronyms), and my explanation of How to Play The Drugstore Game at CVS.
Be sure to sign up for a free CVS Extra Care card – you’ll need it for the following deals (get it in store instead of online so they give you the card right away). You may also want to pick up a CVS green bag tag to earn ECBs for using reusable bags.
2 Arm & Hammer Liquid Laundry Detergent, 25-32 Loads @ $2.99 each
$1/2 Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergents 10/16 Smart Source
Pay: $4.98 + tax
Receive: $1 ECB
1 GE Energy Smart 40,60,75, or 100 Watt, 1 pk @ $2.99
$1/1 GE Energy Smart or GE Halogen Light Bulbs, p.45 Oct 2011 All You
$1 ECB from previous transaction
Pay: $0.99 + tax
Receive: $1 ECB
You’ll spend $5.97 + tax for two bottles of detergent and a light bulb, and have a $1 ECB to roll next week or spend on this week’s sale items. It’s not the greatest deal, but it is quite good if you need these items.
I like the Spend $30, Get a $10 gift card promo a lot, but making the most of it requires multiple like coupons, and I’m just not sure how many new couponers would have multiples. Is that something you’d like to see a scenario for?
