  • Walgreens Starter Scenarios: 10/23 – 10/29/11

You’ll find a list of this week’s Walgreens deals here.

If you’re new to The Drugstore Game, these new starter transactions will help you get your feet wet and show you how The Drugstore Game can save you money on things you already buy. If you don’t understand the transactions, read my Drugstore Game Primer, Common Sense with Money’s FAQ (which has a handy explanation of acronyms), and my explanation of How to Play The Drugstore Game at Walgreens. In these transactions, I assume that you do not have any Register Rewards to start with.

    Transaction #1:
    1 TheraMax Cold & Flu Relief @ $7.99

    Pay: $7.99 + tax
    Receive: $8 RR

    Transaction #2:
    2 Dentek Floss @ 2/$4
    3 Capri Sun @ 3/$6

    2 x $1/1 Dentek Floss Pick printable
    $8 RR from previous transaction

    Pay: Tax
Receive: $2 RR for Dentek & $1.50 RR for Capri Sun

    Transaction #3:
    2 DiGiorno Pizza @ 2/$10
    2 Royal Gelatin @ $0.20 each with in-ad coupon

    2 x $2/1 Digiorno Product Facebook printable
    PLUS $1/2 DiGiorno Pizza Walgreens IVC printable {or November coupon book?}
    in-ad coupon for Royal Gelatin
    $2 RR from previous transaction
    $1.50 RR from previous transaction

    Pay: $1.90 + tax

The price for Capri Sun and DiGiorno are really good so I wanted to show how you can get them for less at Walgreens this week than you could at a supermarket. You’ll end up paying $9.89 + tax for cold medicine, 2 packages of floss, 3 packages of Capri Sun, and 2 frozen pizzas. You could easily pay that just for the pizzas at other stores.
