  • My CVS trip today

I was so excited about the $5 Zyrtec moneymaker that I just had to go to CVS this morning. I had a $5 ECB from completing a CVS Advisor survey. So I did two transactions:

    Transaction #1:
    1 Zyrtec 5-ct @ $5.99
    1 Schick Hydro razor @ $8
1 Kleenex travel pack @ $0.88 (I needed a filler and this was the cheapest useful thing I could find)

    $5/1 Zyrtec 5-ct printable
$4/1 Schick Hydro razor 6/12 Smart Source
    $5 ECB from CVS Advisor

    Paid: $1.84 including tax
Received: $5.99 ECB for Zyrtec & $4 ECB for Schick

    Transaction #2:
    5 Powerade @ $1 each

$1/5 Powerade ION or Zero printable
    $4 ECB from previous transaction

Paid: $0.50 CRV (California’s recycling incentive)
    Received: $2 ECB

The Buy 5/$5, Get $2 ECB deal is apparently a monthly deal that resets weekly (it was tagged at my store with this week’s dates). The deal includes Powerade 32-oz, Vitaminwater 20-oz, Smartwater 1-liter, Fuze and Honest Tea 16.9-oz. I’ve read that the Mango Honest Tea may be excluded from the sale. I’ve been buying a lot of Powerade because I fill the boys’ stainless steel water bottles with it for sports and hot days (shhh, don’t tell them it’s diluted with a little water). I’m stocking up because I’m guessing we’re going to go through a lot during the summer, what with sports camps and clinics and so on.

I haven’t been shopping at CVS much, but I’ll probably go back next week for one last round of Powerade (and some free Colgate – next week’s deals will post tomorrow!).
