  • Evening Roundup: Firefox tip

    I use Firefox as my primary browser, and for a long time, I’ve been frustrated that when I click on a “mailto:” link, it automatically opens Windows Mail by default. But no more! I followed these instructions to change the default email program to Gmail. Best of all, it took less than ten seconds!

    There are reports that Coupons.com is offering “any brand” dairy coupons for cheese and milk – we never get these in California (probably because of our restrictive dairy laws) but if you’re in another state, it’s definitely worth a look!

    Coupon NetworkCoupon Network also has new coupons, including $1/1 Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss Creamer, $1/2 Senseo Coffee Pods, and $3/1 multipack of Avent BPA-Free Baby Bottles. There’s also still a coupon for $0.75/2 Yoplait kids yogurt products.

    There’s a new daily deal site called Little Birdie that’s giving a $10 credit when you sign up right now (it’s not advertised, but I signed up earlier today and received the credit). You can use the credit to get a $30 voucher to Peeled Snacks for just $5 (you’ll have to pay $7 shipping or spend $75 to get free shipping). I’ve never tried Peeled Snacks but they look like a pretty healthy snack for the kids. Thank you if you join Little Birdie using my referral link!

    For approximately the next 24 hours, you can get a $20 voucher to Old Navy for $10 at Groupon. Go through a shopping portal like Mr. Rebates to get back 7% of your purchase price. Thank you if you join(ed) Groupon using my referral link!

    Amazon is offering 12 boxes of Annie’s Homegrown Organic Classic Macaroni & Cheese for $17.95 when you use Subscribe & Save and code ANNIEJUN. That works out to $1.50 per box, which is a great price for the organic variety (the non-organic goes on sale for $0.50 or less, but the organic version never comes close to that price). Disclosure: I’m an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

    Flash deal site Totsy has Dutalier gliders for up to 50% off for the next 4 days (though you should shop early for the best selection). I had a Dutalier for nursing and I absolutely loved it, but they’re on the expensive end of gliders so 50% off is an amazing deal. Thank you if you join(ed) Totsy using my referral link!

    Here’s HOT $5 moneymaker at CVS if you haven’t already gotten the free-after-ECB Zyrtec 5-ct, which is on sale for $5.99. Walmart is offering a printable coupon for $5/1 Zyrtec 5-ct, so pay $0.99 and get a $5.99 ECB back. (Thanks to Printable Coupons and Deals for the coupon!)

    Through June 20, daily deal site Mamapedia is offering discounted subscriptions to Kiwi Magazine – pay $6 for 1 year (6 issues) or $10 for 2 years (12 issues). If you’re a first-time Mamapedia buyer, you can get $2 off a 1-year subscription with code KIWI2OFF or $4 off a 2-year subscription with code KIWI4OFF. Thank you if you join(ed) Mamapedia using my referral link!

    Get a second free 8×10 photo collage at Walgreens Photo when you use code FREEBIE. (Via Wild for Wags.) {Use code 1FREEBIE to get another free collage if you haven’t already.}

    Get a printable coupon for $0.50/1 Lite POM Wonderful. (Via Freebies 4 Mom.)

    Right @ Home is offering printable coupons for $1/1 Pledge Floor product and $3/1 Libman Freedom Spray Mop.

    1. Do you know why there are such restrictive dairy laws in California?

    2. Chief Family Officer says:

      @Elena – Unfortunately, no, I don't really know anything about the dairy laws, but the fact that they exist and affect sale prices and coupons is something I've picked up on in the last few years.
