I just added Kiva as one of my favorite charities to the right side bar. I’ve been a Kiva lender for several years now, and I just made another loan to a woman in Peru. That got me an email update from Kiva’s representative there, which you can read here. I knew Kiva had a great reputation, but I didn’t realize the work they put into verifying loans and maintaining transparency. It’s just amazing that an amount as small as $25 can make such a big difference to someone!
