  • Morning Coffee: Time to clear out my freezer!

I’ve got a good amount of room in my kitchen freezer, but the one in the garage is rather full. So my goal this week is to use up a lot of what’s in there because this Friday (2/18), Whole Foods will have organic whole chickens on sale for $1.69/pound (limit 10 chickens per person). I don’t know if I’ll be able to get 10 chickens in, but I do want to get as close as possible, because that is a really awesome price (the lowest price I’ve been able to get is $1.99/pound for hormone/antibiotic-free whole chickens).

Amazon’s Grocery Deal of the Day today is 12 boxes of Annie’s Homegrown Organic Whole Wheat Shells & Cheddar for $16.87 with Subscribe & Save, or $1.41/box. That’s a great deal for this product, which usually sells for an astonishing $4+ at Ralphs. 1. Thanks for the heads up on the chickens! I'll have to call ahead.

I bought that mac and cheese this past Friday b/c my kids wanted mac and cheese (instead of Little Ceasar's pizza — go figure). It was $2/box on sale. Definitely a good price on Amazon!
