There was a regional coupon for $5/1 Maalox product in this past Sunday’s Smart Source insert. You can use this coupon to make money at CVS (see Savings Lifestyle) and Walgreens (see Wild for Wags), or get free product at stores like Walmart or Target. Note that the price varies by region – for example, the cheapest Maalox was $6.29 at my CVS store.

I got a heads up via email that on Friday (Jan. 14), Whole Foods will have fresh tilapia on sale for $4.99/lb, which is almost half off the regular price. I also learned that Whole Foods prohibits the use of methyltestosterone, a hormone used by many tilapia farmers to grow all male fish because it makes the fish larger.

For the Mommas is giving away a $500 gift card to One Kings Lane.

    1. The Tilapia sounds good. Thanks so much for the heads up. I will have to get some. I took my son awhile back and they breaded some shrimp and fried it for him. It was jumbo shrimp and he loved, loved it. But I don't want to take him back with me as that is an expensive habit!

    2. Chief Family Officer says:

@Susan – I totally forgot to go today! Where did they do the shrimp – at the hot foods counter? I bet my oldest would love that, and it would be a fabulous after-school treat sometime.
