  • Review & Giveaway: $20 Amex Gift Card from Lysol

I’ve been using Lysol products all my life, and these days, I especially can’t live without their disinfecting wipes. They were invaluable during potty training, because they made it so easy to wipe down the potty after each use – and if you’ve ever gone through potty training, you know how tiresome that can get. Sure, I’d love to switch to “green cleaning,” but right now, I have to admit that convenience and cost are winning out over natural. I’d rather my house be clean using products like Lysol than not clean at all because of expense and/or effort.

And just in time for cold and flu season, Lysol has started a new online community for those who put their family’s health first. In addition to having a place to share ideas and tips for cleaning and disinfecting your home, you’ll have access to special offers.

Lysol also has launched a campaign called Mission for Health, which focuses on giving information to parents, children, and educators about protecting oneself against germs. The Lysol Blue Ribbon Attendance Challenge, a Healthy Hero Contest, and Hand Washing Song Contest will give out $75,000 in prizes to schools this year. Additionally, Lysol has partnered with Save the Children to support families during a natural disaster, and provides resources for new moms on how to keep mom and infant healthy.

To help get the word out about their online community and the Mission for Health, Lysol is giving one lucky CFO reader a $20 American Express gift card.

To enter this giveaway, visit Lysol.com and tell me something you learned in the form below. This entry is mandatory. Email and RSS subscribers may need to click through to the blog in order to see the form. If you’re having trouble with your entry, you can go directly to the published form.

For a second entry, subscribe to CFO via RSS or email and fill out the form again to let me know you’ve done so. You’ll get the latest on CFO delivered right to your favorite feed aggregator or inbox. If you’re already a subscriber, just fill out the form to let me know (and thanks!).

For a third entry, follow me on Twitter and tweet about the giveaway. (You can tweet the following: Win a $20 Amex GC from Lysol & @cfoblog: http://bit.ly/buiupQ.) Then fill out the form to let me know you’ve done so (include the link to your update).

For a fourth entry, blog about the giveaway on your own blog. Then let me know about it by filling out the form again with the link to your post.

You can enter up to four times (one for each type), and you must complete the form once per entry. Only one entry of each type per email address will be counted. I’ll select the winner using Random.org and announce them here on CFO as well as contact them by email. Winners must respond within 24 hours, otherwise their prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be selected.

The giveaway ends at 9:00 p.m. PDT on Thursday, November 11, and is open to U.S. residents only. Good luck!

Disclosure: I received a gift card from Lysol in exchange for spreading the word about Lysol.com. All opinions are my own. Read the full CFO disclosure policy.
