  • Morning Coffee: My, interest rates have gone up!

As I mentioned last month, we are refinancing our mortgage, and I have been trying to keep an eye on rates in the hope that we would be able to get one float down to an even 4%. But after hovering around the low 4% range for a few weeks, rates have gone up 1/2% in the last week. So it looks like we made a good choice locking when we did, and we’ll just have to be happy with what we got!

    1. Bummer on the interest rates. We locked in our refinance for 90 days a few months ago. The bank is taking it's sweet time so it looks like we may pass that lock in date. Iw as kind of hoping the rate would be lower by the time we closed. Thankfully, they just told me they'd guarantee my rate if we go beyond the 90 days (b/c it's their fault it's taking SO LONG!).
