  • Midmorning Coffee: Big Ralphs News

I’ve seen reports in a couple of places now that starting tomorrow and possibly through Thanksgiving, Ralphs will be doubling coupons up to $2, i.e., they will double all coupons with a face value of up to $1. Apparently coupons with a face value of over $1 will not double at all, and up to 4 like coupons will double per transaction. This could have huge implications for the Mega Sale, so I will look to see if a new post with doubled $1 coupons is worth doing.

The Coldwater Creek Groupon is available St. Louis today, so you can still get a $50 voucher for just $25. Learn more about Groupon here.

Amazon’s Deal of the Day is boxed DVD sets of the CSI shows. Seasons 1-10 of the original CSI is $155, and Miami (seasons 1-8) and New York (seasons 1-6) are $91. Disclosure: I’m an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Also, Amazon Mom members can get $10 off a $50 purchase of qualifying baby and maternity apparel with code MOMNBABY.

And finally, I got an email from Amazon saying that they are starting their Prelude to Black Friday video game deals on November 14. Last year, there were some amazing deals around this time, like Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga for less than $10. And since I’m home more this year now that I don’t have to go to an office every day, I should be able to keep you apprised of the hottest deals. Just note that email updates only go out once a day, so you’ll have to visit the site if you’re concerned about missing a time-sensitive deal.

The New York Times has a recipe for Julia Child’s favorite brownies. They sound like a fair amount of work, but if they were Julia Child‘s favorite brownies, then I have to make them at least once.

    1. oooooh that would be awesome if Ralphs doubled up to $2 again!

    2. I think that would mean free Blue Diamond almond milk (since there is a $1 printable available)!
