Here’s an update from my trip to Ralphs yesterday: (1) Zone Perfect bars are still $1, so free after the 55 cents/1 coupon from the 9/12 SS; (2) At least some varieties of Birds Eye Steamfresh Lightly Sauced Vegetables are included in the frozen Mega Sale, and were $1.49 after discount. You can use the coupon for Buy One Steamfresh Vegetables, Get a Free Steamfresh Lightly Sauced or Whole Grain Blend Variety that was in yesterday’s SS to get two bags of vegetables for 75 cents each; (3) Only the Cavity Protection and Baking Soda/Peroxide varieties of Crest were included in the $1 sale at my store, so I was able to use the 50 cents/1 coupon from the 9/26 P&G and the 75 cents/1 coupon from the 10/10 P&G to get two for free; and (4) Maruchan Yakisoba is still $1, so free after the 50 cents/1 coupon from the 10/10 SS or 8/29 SS (exp 10/31).
The Body Shop must have gotten jealous of all of the business GAP got after their hot Groupon deal a while back, because today’s Groupon deal in many cities is a $40 Body Shop voucher for just $20. You can find the deal in Los Angeles, but as I write this, not enough have been bought for the deal to be on, so you might want to head for Boise or Chicago, where the minimum has already been met. The Groupon is only valid in-store, can be used with your discount card and on sale items, must be used in one visit, and expires 2/25/11. This is an online deal that can be purchased by anyone regardless of location – just click on “Visit More Cities” at the top of the page to get the deal. You can also get a $10 credit when someone signs up using your referral link and makes their first purchase (thank you if you join using my referral link!). Don’t forget to shop through Ebates to get back 6% of your purchase.

Ume (Japanese pickled plum) was one of my favorite foods as a child, so I am super intrigued by this recipe for Ume Chicken.
