  • The Drugstore Game This Week: Starter Walgreens Transactions 9/26 – 10/2/10

If you’re new to playing The Drugstore Game, these transactions should help you get started. If you don’t understand the transactions, read my Drugstore Game Primer, Common Sense with Money’s FAQ, and my explanation of How to Play The Drugstore Game at Walgreens.

This week’s Walgreens deals are here. In these transactions, I assume that you do not have any Register Rewards to start.

    Transaction #1:
2 Fullbar Fit appetite control $1.99 each

    – Buy one get one free Fullbar coupon printable

    Pay: $1.99 + tax
    Receive: $2 RR
note: the Fullbar coupon that I printed out says “any Fullbites or Truffulls product” so whether it works with this deal will depend on what’s tagged as included in the sale in store; if the coupon doesn’t apply, just buy one bar or skip it and go straight to transaction #2, you just won’t need a filler

    Transaction #2:
    1 Vicks Sinex $6
1 filler, e.g., Halloween gift sack or tumbler 13 cents with in-ad coupon

    – $4/1 Sinex Product from 9/26 P&G
    – $2 RR from previous transaction

    Pay: 13 cents + tax
    Receive: $2 RR

    Transaction #3:
    1 Emergen-C Vitamin C Supplement $3.49

    – $2 RR from previous transaction

    Pay: $1.49 + tax
    Receive: $3.50 RR

    Transaction #4:
    1 Highland’s Cold n Couch $4.99

    – $3.50 RR from previous transaction

    Pay: $1.49 + tax
    Receive: $5 RR

    Transaction #5:
    1 Vaseline Sheer Infusion $5.99

    – $5 RR from previous transaction

    Pay: 99 cents
    Receive: $5 RR
note: look for $2/1 peelies; if you can find one, you’ll need a filler like the 13-cent cup or sack
