Gelson’s is an upscale supermarket here in Southern California, and we live close enough to one that we usually get their circulars, which I skim because every once in a while, there will be a great deal. (A few months ago, I mentioned that you could free Lunchables there.)
This week’s circular lists Applegate Farms lunch meats in 7 oz. packages for $3.99 ($9.13/lb). I believe these run about $10 per pound or more at Whole Foods, so it’s a pretty good price. I like Applegate Farms cold cuts because they don’t contain any artificial nitrates or nitrites, but my feelings about taste vary widely by product.
Gelson’s also has a great sale on organic grapes ($1.99/lb, locally grown). And they’re selling 24-count packages of individually packaged Wet Ones for $1.99. I haven’t compared prices at Target, but I’m guessing that sale price is pretty comparable.
