    I stopped by Staples yesterday on the last day of their penny item sale, and I was surprised that they had everything in stock. I wonder if it’s just too early for most people to feel like shopping for school supplies, if people just aren’t shopping, or if that $5 minimum is really going to put a dent in the amount of merchandise they move this season (assuming they keep the minimum). I needed a new backpack so that’s how I got to the $30 minimum to use the in-ad $5/$30 coupon and the $5 minimum.
