Speaking of Walgreens, on Wednesday, I observed that I couldn’t find any sign of the mid-week deal at my store, and the mid-week ad wasn’t online. Wild for Wags had the same experience, but she went ahead and purchased some of the ad deals and discovered that the RRs are printing. So even if there’s no sign of the sale, you may want to give a low out-of-pocket item a try.

The Baby Bargains Book Blog has some interesting thoughts about the CPSC’s plan to ban drop-side cribs by the end of the year. I can understand why the CPSC is doing it (go through the recalls I’ve posted and you’ll see just how many are for drop-side cribs). But I also see the Baby Bargains authors’ point t00 – our first drop-side crib was a model that’s no longer made by Simmons, and it was awesome. Of course, it was fairly expensive, but maybe that’s what it takes to make a quality drop-side crib.
