  • And One More Trip To Rite Aid This Week

My second trip to Rite Aid this week didn’t go quite as planned, because I forgot to clip the $2/1 Oral B coupon and I couldn’t find the Smooth Move tea anywhere. There wasn’t even a place for it on the shelf. I realized that I actually needed Neutrogena sunscreen, because the Coppertone Water Babies has been making me break out, so I ended up with the following transaction instead:

    1 Jack’s Links Jerky, $2.99
    1 Cryostat, $8.99
1 Cottonelle Moist Wipes Refill, $6.99
    1 Neutrogena Sunscreen, $10.99

    - $5 off $25 purchase printable coupon (pdf)
    - $1/1 Jack Link’s Jerky or Nugget from July All You
    - $2/1 Cryostat printable (registration required)
    - $0.75/1 Cottonelle wipes from mailer
    - $2/1 Neutrogena product in-ad coupon
    - $7 +UP reward

    Paid: $12.21 + $2.14 tax
Received: $1 +UP for Jacks Jerky, $1 +UP for Cottonelle & $8.99 SCR for Cryostat

I also got credit for the Neutrogena toward SCR #555, which gets you a $10 Rite Aid gift card if you spend $25 on qualifying products, and a $25 gift card if you spend $50. I’d already qualified for the $10 gift card, and since I’m now up to $37 toward the $25 gift card, it’s worth it to spend another $13 to get the extra $15.

I’m assuming I won’t be able to find Smooth Move tea again, although I may alter my scenario once I’m in store if they have it now. But here’s my tentative plan:

2 Neutrogena Ultra Sheer, $9.99 each (I think; the price might be slightly higher)
1 Cottonelle Moist Wipes Refill, $6.99

    - $5 off $25 purchase printable coupon (pdf)
    - 2 x $2/1 Neutrogena product in-ad coupon
    - $0.50/1 Cottonelle wipes from mailer
    - 2 x $1 +UP reward

    Pay: $15.47 + tax
Receive: $1 +UP for Cottonelle & qualify for $25 RA gift card SCR #555

I realize I’m spending probably $18 after tax to get $15 via the gift card, but I’m getting a lot for those $3. I could easily pay $3 just for the flushable wipes refill (it’s a 140-ct bag), so it’s well worth it.

Of course, if I can find the tea and Oral B toothbrush (and I will remember my coupon this time), then I can do the following instead, and plan to buy wipes some other time:

2 Neutrogena Ultra Sheer, $9.99 each
1 Traditional Medicinals Smooth Move, $3.69
    1 Oral-B Cross Action Manual Toothbrush, $2.99

    - $5 off $25 purchase printable coupon (pdf)
    - 2 x $2/1 Neutrogena product in-ad coupon
    - $2/1 Traditional Medicinals Smooth Move printable (registration required)
    - $2/1 Oral-B Toothbrushes from 7/4 P&G
    - 2 $1 +UP

    Pay: $11.66 + tax
Receive: $3.69 SCR for Smooth Move, $1.50 +UP for Oral B & qualify for $25 RA gift card

Since the difference between the two transactions is $8, I’m going to go with the second one if I can find the tea and toothbrush in stock.

Update: Scratch the following scenario – the $5/$25 coupon cannot be used on gift cards.

Also, Becky was kind enough to point out that the $/$$ coupon can be paired with the $5 off $30 iTunes gift card coupon. Here’s one scenario:

    1 Dulcolax $9.99
1 $30 iTunes gift card pack

    - $5 off $25 purchase printable coupon (pdf)
    - $5/1 Dulcolax Balance 14 dose+ from May All You
    - $5/1 iTunes gift card in-ad coupon

    Pay: $24.99 + tax
    Receive: $9.99 SCR for Dulcolax

Your total cost for the $30 gift card would only be $15! Thanks, Becky!
