  • Morning Coffee: Happy National Donut Day!

No, I’m not making that up – apparently, the first Friday in June is always National Donut Day. You can get a free donut at Krispy Kreme and a free donut with the purchase of any beverage at Dunkin Donuts.

Cellfire.com is apparently going to have a special promotion today at 3:00 PDT where logged in users can go to http://www.cellfire.com/cinderella and get a coupon for up to $10 off their next visit to a Kroger or Kroger-affiliated store (Ralphs here in SoCal). If you’re not a Cellfire user, I highly recommend it – electronic coupons are a great way to save money, and you don’t have to carry anything around! I haven’t seen mention of this special Kroger coupon anywhere, but got the info from Escalate, which is the source of the affiliate links I use for Cellfire. I don’t even see any mention of the promotion on the Cellfire site right now, but hopefully starting at 3:00, we’ll see the coupon available. The amount is going to vary for each person, but I hope at least some of you get the $10 one!

Search & WinSwag Bucks is by far my favorite way to earn free money, so I love Fridays, when there’s an increased chance of winning big Swag Bucks. Don’t forget that on Monday, there will be five codes and an increased chance to win a 25 Swag Bucks via searching. And make sure you snag your daily Swag Buck by taking the new Daily Poll, and another daily Swag Buck for using their toolbar. Disclosure: If you join Swag Bucks using my referral link, I’ll get bonus Swag Bucks, so thank you if you do!

This week’s Amazon Friday Salehas only one section – Personal Care & Grocery. There are a lot of beverages again, but what’s new is towards the end, there are some pet foods. We don’t have a pet, so I have no way of gauging whether they’re a good deal, but it’s always worth a look. Disclosure: I’m an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you!

Common Sense with Money has details on how to get $10 off a $10 purchase at Medco Health, with 99-cent flat-rate shipping. Scroll through the comments and you’ll find a second code for another $10 off $10 purchase. Both codes worked great for me.

Get a sneak peek at next week’s Walgreens ad.

Get a free sample of Starbucks Via Ready Brew from Walmart.

Get a sneak peek at next week’s Staples ad. There’s $1 reams of paper and a pretty good deal on printer ink if you’re a Staples Rewards member.

$5 Dinners has a recipe for Black Bean Coconut Brownies.

Moneywise Moms has a list of summer reading programs for kids.

Mommy Snacks has some last minute Rite Aid deals for this week.

For locals: the minimum age for kindergarten may be changed soon so that children have to be 5 by September 1 in order to start in the fall.
