If you’re local and you watch any local news, you’ve probably already seen the report that Ralphs has been accused of overcharging customers on prepackaged and weighed items. I have to say that I’m not surprised, because the last time I bought calamari from them, I noticed that there was quite bit of ice that wasn’t accounted for in the tare but I didn’t know that it was actually illegal or I might have said something. I predict that there will be some kind of settlement that may give customers the chance to receive kind of compensation – kind of like when Subway had to give out thousands of $2 gift cards as part of a settlement for misleading advertising. So keep an eye on this case, although it’s also possible that the criminal proceeding won’t result in any benefit to consumers and we’ll have to wait for a class action civil suit.

According to this post at A Full Cup, the P&G coupon booklet rebate that was in the 5/2 P&G insert is different from the one that was out earlier this year and so you should be able to submit your receipts for it even if you’ve already received a booklet. I don’t remember the details of the first rebate, but the original poster says that the dates and address on the new rebate are different.
