Moms Need to Know gives us the heads up on a couple of great deals coming up next week: first, Staples will have free-after-rewards batteries again (get a 20-pack for $9.99, then get $9.99 in back in Staples Rewards), and second, Walgreens will have free-after-RR Stayfree pads, which will be a $2 moneymaker when you use the $2/1 coupon from the 3/28 RP.

Banner Ad MySurvey is looking for parents (moms) with babies. You can read my most recent MySurvey review here, but in a nutshell, I do recommend them as a legitimate survey company. Just a quick note, their rewards system has changed just a bit, and it’s on my list of things to post about. Disclosure: I’m a MySurvey affiliate, so I’ll receive bonus points if you sign up using my referral link. Thank you!

According to an email I received yesterday, Borders is offering the Avatar DVD for $17.99 through Monday (4/26). The Blu-Ray version is $24.99.

If you’re a longtime CVS ExtraCare card holder (say, longer than 5 years), you may be getting a replacement card.

This may be a regional deal, but at least some Walgreens stores have 12-packs of Cottonelle big rolls on sale for $5 right now. Use the $1/1 coupon in the April coupon booklet with the $1/1 coupon from the April All You to pay $3. That works out to 25 cents per roll, which is a pretty good deal.

Here’s what will be free and cheap at Shaw’s starting 4/23.

MoneySavingMom just started a series on keeping toys to a minimum. I thought about her post yesterday after we got home and the boys dug out their firefighter costumes and played together incredibly well. And I realized that I don’t mind the toy overload in our house. Sure, some might think our house is overrun by toys and my boys definitely have more than most (mostly thanks to Grandma and Grandpa), but the looks on their faces as they play with their toys are priceless. I am reminded, though, that we purged some toys that I can get out of the house to remove some clutter!

    1. Thanks for the comment about the toys! I felt guilty after reading her post (not that that was her intent at all!)! My kids have more toys than I'd like, but they really do play with all of them on regular basis. And I think I've purchased only a handful of the toys we own — most at yard sales!
