  • Hot Deal: Swag Bucks sale on PayPal

Search & WinThrough tomorrow evening, the $5 PayPal gift card is on sale at Swag Bucks for just 550 Swag Bucks. That’s a great value, considering the $5 Amazon gift certificate is 450 Swag Bucks and the next best value Amazon certificate is the $50 GC at 5900 Swag Bucks. The usual limits apply, so you can only order two of these per day.

As attractive as this offer is, I thought I wasn’t eligible because my PayPal email address is not the same address I used to join Swag Bucks. However, a commenter on the Swag Bucks blog noted that you can add email addresses to your PayPal account, and said that doing so worked for him when redeeming the $5 PayPal gift certificate in the past. So that’s what I’m currently trying.

To add an email address to your PayPal account, log in to PayPal, then go to your profile and click on “add or edit email.” You should be able to add an email address, and you’ll receive an email from PayPal with instructions on how to confirm your new email address.

Swag Bucks says that it takes 2 to 3 weeks for the payment email to be sent, so you won’t see the money right away. But $5 is $5 – especially when it’s free!
