  • Evening Coffee: Hot deals & updates

There’s a hot deal at Safeway stores right now: Buy 2 “large” packages of Charmin (24 double rolls) or Bounty (12 big rolls) for $9.99 each and get a $10 Catalina for your next purchase. You can load $3/1 e-coupons for both Bounty and Charmin at P&G eSaver, which will bring your total down to $13.98. That’s like paying $3.98 for 2 large packs of toilet paper and paper towels! The deal ends tomorrow (3/2).

Update on the Walgreens Schick razor deal: An anonymous reader pointed out that the rebate is for a men’s razor, not the women’s razors that are on sale. I’ve updated the starter transactions post as well as the weekly deals post.

There are some Le Creusetitems on sale at Amazon. My favorite is the two-piece bakeware setthat’s just $35.99 (various colors). 1. Where did you get the information for the P&G deal? I can see in the ad where they're 9.99 each but can't find any info about a $10 cat.

    2. Chief Family Officer says:

I read about the deal at Slickdeals but wanted to make sure for myself that it worked before posting it, which I did last night on my way home from work. I finally figured out why it works, thanks to Tia’s Saving Cents. It’s because there’s a Catalina deal going on through today where you buy $10 worth of participating P&G products and get a $10 cat back. As Tia pointed out, the "regular" sale price on the items is $12.99, but there’s a simultaneous promo where the price is reduced to $9.99 when you buy 2 or more. And apparently the Catalina goes off the original sale price of $12.99. So you get the $10 cat, and after coupons it's a great deal (even better if you have paper coupons and Upromise coupons too).
