If you’re new to playing The Drugstore Game, these transactions should help you get started. If you don’t understand the transactions, read my Drugstore Game Primer, Common Sense with Money’s FAQ, and my explanation of How to Play The Drugstore Game at CVS. You’ll find a list of this week’s CVS deals here. In these transactions, I assume that you do not have any ECBs to start with.
It’s not a great week at CVS, but sometimes that’s good if you’re just getting started so you can ease into things.
1 Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid Toothpaste or Oral B Advantage Toothbrush (1 ct.) – $2.99
1 Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunblock 1 oz. – $1.99
– $0.75/1 Crest Toothpaste 4 oz+ from 2/7 P&G (exp 3/31) or 3/7 P&G
– $2/1 Neutrogena Suncare printable (registration required; will probably beep and need to be adjusted to $1.99)
Pay: $2.24 cents + tax
Receive: $2 ECB for Crest
If you want to end the week with ECBs, you can stop here. If you want a cheap dry cleaning alternative, then you could do the following:
2 Arm & Hammer Total 2-in-1 Dryer Cloths (40 ct.) – B1G1 @ $4.69
– 2 x $1/1 Arm & Hammer Total 2-in-1 Dryer Cloths, any (or $0.50/1 Arm & Hammer Dryer Cloths from 1/31 SS [exp 3/31])
– $2 ECB from previous transaction
Pay: 69 cents
