  • Morning Coffee: Trader Joe’s Granola Bars Recalled

Happy Valentine’s Day! Have a wonderful day today with your sweeties!

Trader Joe’s has recalled certain boxes of their Chocolate Chip Chewy Coated Granola Bars for possible salmonella contamination. Affected boxes have Use by Dates/Lot Codes 16JUL10H2 and 17JUL10HI and should be returned to the store for a refund.

Today’s Ebates Daily Double store is, which is giving a whopping 30% cash back (instead of the usual 15%). You can use the code HEART to get 80% off the $10 price for a $25 certificate – plus the 30% cash back makes the cost of a $25 certificate just $1.40! To learn more about Ebates, read my original review. If you sign up through my referral link, we’ll both get a bonus when you make your first purchase within 30 days!

Things must be going terribly for Borders – not only have they closed a whole bunch of stores, but there should be an 8-page circular in today’s paper. At least it has coupons – 33% off the list price of one item and a free small coffee. You can print the coupons online too.

It’s a slow week at Walgreens, but that’s okay – it’ll give me a chance to catch my breath. Tia’s Saving Cents has a couple of $5 scenarios. There’s also some scenarios at A Full Cup. has some new coupons, including 75 cents/1 Lunchables Subs and some high value Scrubbing Bubbles coupons (sort by Household to find them easily). The Kellogg’s cereal coupons are still there as well, and might go well with this week’s sale at Walgreens. Disclosure: Affiliate links.

Mommy Snacks has a scenario for this week’s CVS deals. If you don’t have any ECBs to start, you can do multiple transactions and use the ECBs earned from the previous transaction to minimize your expenses. If you want to break up the Mommy Snacks scenario, do the Aussie, then the Colgate (with a small filler), then the Crest, then the Kellogg’s – you’ll end up paying $2.99 + tax and the cost of your filler for everything.

Mommy Snacks also has this week’s Kroger deals.

I Heart Rite Aid reports that regular-priced over-the-counter medications will be 20% off from Feb. 18-20.

Get a sneak peek of the 2/19 Shaw’s ad.

Bargain Briana has this week’s Aldi deals and Marsh deals.

If you shop at Cub, here’s a scenario to get $15 off a $25 JC Penny purchase but it only works today.

Here are coupon match ups for this week’s Rainbow deals.

    1. I love those Trader Joe's bars… I actually had to stop buying them (apparently just in time, lol) awhile back because I could NOT stop eating them, so good.
