  • Afternoon Coffee: Ralphs Free Milk Deal Is Awesome

Earlier this week in my summary of this week’s Ralph’s deals, I noted the buy 3 participating Kellogg’s products and get free milk deal. I’m happy to report that the deal appears to be unlimited – there’s no limit stated in the ad, and there’s no limit on the shelf tags, so unless your store imposes a limit, you can do this deal multiple times in one transaction. I ended up buying 12 boxes of Special K cereal, 1 gallon of organic milk, 2 half-gallons of organic milk, and one half-gallon of RBST-free milk for $17 after coupons. I would have spent $15 on the milk alone, so the deal was quite exceptional (yes, the boys and I drink that much milk every week). The register tabulated everything without a problem, which made for a very smooth transaction.

I don’t know how long this deal will last (Amazon is notorious for changing prices in the middle of the day without notice), but right now, you can get the Rubbermaid Lock-its 12-Piece Container Setfor just $10.50 (list price is $32.99). I actually ordered two, because we’ve been running out of containers lately and because I’d like to retire some of our older plastic containers. According to the Rubbermaid web site, this set does not contain BPA. If you want to start planning your shopping for next week, Common Sense with Money has the Walgreens deals.

Tia’s Saving Cents has some $5 Walgreens scenarios to go along with the matchups.

Tia also has this week’s Rite Aid deals.
