A few months ago, I reviewed and gave away a product called Smelly Washer, which did a great job of banishing the mildew smell from my front loader. So I promptly agreed when I was asked to reviewed their new product, Smelly Towel. The difference between the two products is that Smelly Washer is designed to be eliminate odors from your empty washing machine, while Smelly Towel is designed to eliminate odors from your laundry. Smelly Washer itself is odorless (as I recall), while Smelly Towel has a nice clean citrus-like scent. I really like that both products are all natural, so there are no harsh chemicals involved.
When I tested Smelly Washer, I actually had a smelly washer, so I was really able to evaluate its effectiveness. Unfortunately, this time around, I didn’t have a batch of bad-smelling laundry. But that was actually good, really. I mean, I don’t really want smelly laundry. However, I did use Smelly Towel in place of my regular detergent and was quite satisfied with the results. My clothes smelled and felt nice and clean.
I suspect that if my kids were older, Smelly Towel would have faced a more challenging test. And I’m guessing that there are some of you out there who do have smelly laundry, through absolutely no fault of your own. Well, lucky for you, the folks at Smelly Washer want to give one CFO reader their own bottle of Smelly Towel to try out – this is special because you can’t even buy Smelly Towel yet!
