  • Dorel Infant Car Seat Recall – Includes Safety 1st, Cosco, Disney and Eddie Bauer

    FacebookTwitterPinterest

Almost half a million infant car seats have been recalled because the handle can detach from the carrier. They were manufactured between January 8, 2008 and April 6, 2009, by Dorel Juvenile Group and branded Cosco, Disney, Safety 1st, and Eddie Bauer as part of travel systems. Read the NHTSA press release or the CPSC press release for a full list of the recalled models.

If you have a recalled seat, you can continue to use it as a car seat, but don’t use the handle. Contact Dorel Juvenile Group at (866) 762-3316 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the firm’s Web site at www.djgusa.com/safety_notice to receive a free repair kit.
